Record Results of the Penki Kontinentai Group
In 2007, the Penki Kontinentai Group, one of the largest IT companies in Lithuania, achieved a record turnover of 382 mln. litas. The turnover rose by 25 percent or 77 mln. litas in comparison with the year 2006, when the Group‘s turnover made up 305 mln. litas. In 2007, the value of direct contracts concluded by the Group was 178 mln. litas and indirect ones – 204 mln. litas.
The export of the products and services to the EU and third countries exceeded 100 mln. litas. Last year, the Penki Kontinentai Group mainly exported to the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.
“Last year we kept analyzing market tendencies, created new products and solutions as well as improved the ones we had, which really met clients’ needs and helped to reach such excellent results”, – Idrakas Dadasovas, the President of the Board of Directors of the Penki Kontinentai Group, said.
Last year, Penki Kontinentai started broadcast of the most advanced interactive IP television Penki TV, increased the number of users of the fiber optic internet Skynet and created innovative solutions in the area of banking technologies and pay cards. In the year 2007, the products of Penki Kontinentai received the Product of the Year Award and won prizes for innovation, for the third time in a row. They also received high recognition at international exhibitions.
Now, the products and services of Penki Kontinentai are marketed in more than 60 world countries. From the very beginning of the activity of the Group (1992) the number of employees has grown up to 280 people. The Group comprises the companies Penki kontinentai, Penkiu kontinentu bankines technologijos, Ashburn International, Penkiu kontinentu komunikaciju centras, Lietaus dizainas, Strateginiu sprendimu grupe, Skaitmeninio sertifikavimo centras, and others. Moreover, the Group has established 15 representative offices in Europe, America, and Asia.
Penki Kontinentai collaborates with the global companies Wincor Nixdorf, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, IBM, Axalto, Motorola, and others.
