Penki Kontinentai Group’s Revenue Exceeded 60 Million Euros
In 2020, the Penki Kontinentai Group’s revenue, which operates in the field of banking technologies, retail, payment solutions, fiber-optic Internet, IT, and outsourcing services, amounted to 62.5 million euros.
“In 2020, we focused on the cloud migration of multifunctional applications, hardware, and software. One of the priority areas is the re-platforming of our software products, which our developers have improved with the use of new technological tools over the years,” says Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairperson of the Penki Kontinetai Board.
According to him, the Knowledge Base created by the Group for almost 30 years of work has become the basis for optimizing internal processes and conducting online webinars. Under the conditions of limited face-to-face meetings, communication with clients has shifted to a different format. Thanks to the partnership development strategy, we concluded cooperation agreements with new partners in Namibia, Nigeria, Burundi, Myanmar, and Russia.
Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2), which specializes in technological solutions for banking and retail business and has subsidiaries in 7 countries, achieved the most significant results for the year. Through projects to provide self-service devices, software solutions, and a range of outsourcing services, BS/2’s income exceeded 33 million euros.
The year was particularly successful for subsidiaries in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Financial results in these countries are higher than last year’s figures. The active retail development has led to an excess of the annual sales figure in Azerbaijan.
In 2020, the total number of EFTPOS terminals in the Penki Kontinentai Group infrastructure exceeded 30 thousand. This allowed expanding the geography and functionality of acquiring services.
ASHBURN International, which specializes in managing EFTPOS terminals and outsourcing acquiring networks, continues to strengthen its position in the Baltic States, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan as a Terminal Service Provider.
ASHBURN International has signed the first agreement with an online bank to develop payment infrastructure and acquire. The company’s revenue was 2.6 million euros. Significant funds have been invested in developing an integrated system for performing the All-In-One function (cash register, payment terminal, and fiscal module) on one Android-based device.
“In the course of the acquiring equipment outsourcing, we have created modern transaction processing centers, which in real-time ensure a high level of reliability, scalability, and security of servicing financial institutions and retail chains,” says the Chairperson.
The income of Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras, another company of the Penki Kontinentai Group, offering IPTV and Internet Penki, and a complex of outsourcing IT services ProfIT, reached almost 4 million euros in 2020. The company’s attention was focused on expanding and using new services, managing infrastructure, creating and maintaining an analytics platform, designing private clouds, and implementing Android TV.
