Penki Kontinentai Group Awarded Liberty Bank for Banking Innovation Leadership


JSC “Liberty Bank” is one of the leaders of innovation and digital transformation in Georgia’s financial sector. Since 2019, the bank has forged a successful partnership with The Penki Kontinentai Group including BS/2 and ASHBURN International, adopting cutting-edge technologies to enhance operations.

Thanks to this collaboration, Liberty Bank now provides 17 innovative functionalities through ATMs and digital platforms, including:

  • card-to-card transfers;
  • receiving international remittances;
  • receiving/sending Liberty Express transfers;
  • issuing pre-approved consumer loans;
  • issuing social loans/overdrafts;
  • full functionality with Apple/Google Pay;
  • withdrawing cash from Liberty accounts using an ID card;
  • obtaining marketing consent (offers/advertising);
  • submitting loan/deposit requests through ATMs, and more.

 

Recognition of Excellence

Liberty Bank was recognized as the leading company in banking innovations in the EMEA region. On October 3rd, 2024, Liberty Bank received the “Leading Innovator in Banking Functionality Award 2024” from the international companies The Penki Kontinentai Group and Diebold Nixdorf. This award symbolizes recognition of Liberty Bank’s commitment to modernization and customer-focused solutions.

The Signing of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement

During the ceremony, Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of The Penki Kontinentai Group, and Giorgi Koroglishvili, Head of the Digital Banking and Innovation Office at Liberty Bank, signed an Agreement of strategic partnership.
The collaboration with BS/2 signifies that Liberty Bank’s customers will have new opportunities for more simplified access to modern and convenient banking services. The expansion of the ATM network, device functionality enhancement, and adherence to high-security standards will further improve the quality and reliability of Liberty Bank’s services.
