JSCB “Universal bank” and BS/2 to Expand Banking Services Network in Uzbekistan


On December 12, within the Banking Fusion 2024 forum held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, a memorandum on strategic cooperation was signed between JSCB “Universal bank” (Uzbekistan) and JSC “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2). Aziz Mirzaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “Universal bank, and Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of Penki Kontinentai Group, participated in the ceremony. 

 

Key Areas of Cooperation Between BS/2 and “Universal bank” 

Within the framework of cooperation development BS/2 company will expand the fleet of ATMs in JSCB “Universal bank”. Self-service devices will be equipped with the company’s software solutions, which will increase their functionality for the bank’s clients.  

In addition, BS/2 will provide commissioning of software for complex monitoring of the ATM park. This will allow the bank’s specialists to control the technical condition of the devices, the safety of their operation, as well as the level of cash in real time, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the network.  

Within the framework of the partnership, BS/2 company undertakes obligations to support the performance of self-service devices of JSCB “Universal bank” in accordance with the requirements of service agreements and best international practices. Such cooperation will contribute to increasing the reliability and efficiency of the bank’s infrastructure, as well as improving the customer experience.

BS/2 and “Universal bank”: Reliable Partnership for Development of Banking Infrastructure 

“Universal bank” is one of the key partners of BS/2 in Uzbekistan and actively cooperates with the company in all major business areas, including ATM business, software, counting and sorting equipment, and acquiring.  

“Universal bank” became the first bank in Uzbekistan to implement modern ATMs DN 100 of the new DN Series line from Diebold Nixdorf, which were supplied by BS/2. Within the framework of this project the specialists of the company also performed a number of additional integration works: the user interface of ATMs, designed in accordance with the bank’s brand, was created; the design of checks with QR codes containing links to the bank’s social networks (Instagram and Telegram) was developed; the possibility of contactless cash withdrawal was implemented. 

Modern software VCP-Lite, ATMeye.iQᴺᴳ, and Vynamic View were installed on self-service devices, which improved their functionality and security. In addition, with the active participation of BS/2, ATMs were certified in the national payment card system of Uzbekistan UZCARD, which ensured their compliance with local standards and market requirements.
