ANORBANK and BS/2 expand self-service banking network in Uzbekistan

As part of the joint digital transformation of the financial sector in Uzbekistan, JSC «ANOR BANK» and UAB Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2) signed a memorandum of cooperation. The ceremony was attended by Eler Najmitdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of ANORBANK, and Idrakas Dadashovas, Chairman of the Management Board of the Penki Kontinentai Group of Companies.

The memorandum is aimed at joint implementation of projects in the field of banking self-service and payment infrastructure development. Its goal is to increase the accessibility of financial services for ANORBANK customers.

Eler Najmitdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of ANORBANK:
“ANORBANK positions itself as a new generation digital bank. Despite the fact that we are only five years old, we have achieved significant results in this relatively short period of time – in particular, we have already issued more than 3.3 million bank cards. Today, we see an urgent need to further expand and strengthen our physical infrastructure, which complements our digital services. We pay special attention to our corporate clients, the small and medium-sized business segment. It is extremely important for them to be able to collect cash 24/7 quickly and without restrictions. Understanding the importance of these goals, we have chosen Diebold Nixdorf as our partner, whose technologies are represented in Uzbekistan by BS/2.

As part of our cooperation, a memorandum was signed, and ANORBANK is already purchasing 100 modern ATMs in the first phase. We expect that during 2025 they will be delivered, installed, and begin serving our customers throughout the country, offering them new, flexible, and effective ways to interact with the bank. I am confident that this will be an important step towards creating a modern and sustainable ecosystem of financial services in Uzbekistan.”

Among the main innovations is the introduction of a wide range of services for customers, including cash deposits and withdrawals, direct interaction with bank accounts, payment for goods and services, and currency exchange.

The signing of the memorandum is an important step towards the creation of a new self-service technology platform. Over the next few years, ANORBANK, together with BS/2, will focus on the practical implementation of the agreements: from expanding the ATM network to introducing intelligent software and monitoring systems.
