Penki kontinentai wins two medals in the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year
For the twelfth time, the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LCI) announced the nominees for best products of this year: an expert committee selected 110 products and services in fifteen categories. The group of companies Penki kontinentai was declared the winner of the competition for the fourth time.
The Penki kontinentai group’s solution ATMiQ, designed for managing business processes, was awarded a gold medal in the category of information technologies. This programming product also received an award in the annual competition of innovations organized by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre and Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
ATMiQ is an intelligent system for managing and optimizing the network of ATMs. It allows forecasting and control of cash flows as well as analyzing the condition of technical equipment. The latter system is also innovative because it can “learn” by itself. The system collects data and constantly changes and updates its forecasts. All this enables efficient management of the network of ATMs and a considerable reduction of operating costs.
The additional services package, including smart housing, e-voting, virtual cinema, and virtual video rental services, of the interactive IP television Penki TV created by Penki kontinentai was awarded a silver medal.
This is not the first award that Penki kontinentai has won in the contest Lithuanian Product of the Year. The group of companies was awarded a silver medal for the optical Internet network Skynet in 2005; the system ATMeye designed for video surveillance and monitoring of ATMs and information terminals was awarded a silver medal in 2006; in 2007, the group of companies was awarded two gold medals for the banking system SmartSafe Enterprise and electronic services and trade via the system of IP TV Penki TV.
The goal of this well-established competition organized by the LCI is to promote the development of Lithuanian business, to increase the competitiveness of the products and services of our country both in Lithuanian and international markets, and to induce consumers to choose high-quality Lithuanian products.
The awards ceremony will take place in Vilnius City Hall on the 18th of December at 6 p.m. The President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus and the President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists will present 79 gold and 31 silver medals to the winners. This year’s winners include products and solutions in food, chemistry, textiles, information technologies, etc.
