BS/2 Partners Showcase Cutting-Edge Innovations at NRF 2025 Retail’s Big Show
NRF 2025 Retail’s Big Show, the largest retail event in the world, took place in New York City from January 12-14, 2025. The event attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors and allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the world of innovations transforming retail. BS/2, part of Penki Kontinentai Group, participated in the exhibition with partners from Azerbaijan and other leading industry players. Emil Musayev, Head of Retail Equipment Sales at BS/2, and Nofal Mammadhuseynov, Head of Retail Department at BS/2 Azerbaijan represented the company.
The NRF 2025 program included presentations by experts from different countries, such as Tommy Hilfiger, American fashion designer and founder of the eponymous brand Tommy Hilfiger, and John Furner, President and CEO of Walmart U.S. There were also large-scale exhibitions and presentations of new solutions. One of the key elements of the event was discussions on current retail topics, including the use of artificial intelligence to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. In addition, participants discussed the future of retail, digital transformation in retail, pricing in 2025, and many other important issues.
NRF 2025 Retail’s Big Show was a platform for demonstrating a wide range of technologies shaping the future of retail: artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, augmented reality, facial recognition technologies, and many others. Participants were able to test the latest developments and see how they are integrated into modern retail processes.
BS/2 Partners Unveil Advanced Technology Solutions at NRF 2025
BS/2’s global partners, including Diebold Nixdorf, SUNMI, Zebra Technologies, Ingenico, Datalogic, and Bizerba, presented their technological innovations at the exhibition.
Diebold Nixdorf, one of the world’s leading developers of retail solutions, demonstrated innovative technologies under the motto “Store of tomorrow – available today”:
- Artificial intelligence for loss prevention: reducing risks on shelves, in the checkout and self-service areas.
- Speed at checkout: multi-object recognition technologies that speed up the processing of purchases.
- Multi-object recognition technology speeds up transactions.
- Hazard Prevention Systems: AI solutions to detect potential hazards (e.g. slip and fall) and protect employees in challenging situations.
Also on display was Vynamic® Smart Vision, a state-of-the-art solution aimed at combating losses and eliminating friction points in business processes. The platform provides independence from hardware and software, which makes it easy to integrate into existing systems.
SUNMI showcased eight flagship products and solutions for the retail industry at NRF 2025:
- Commercial PAD Series: ORDER PAD and PAY PAD devices. The versatile business tablets integrate a wide range of functionality: order taking, product scanning, payment processing, including SoftPOS support.
- SUNMI’s Flex line represents a new approach to flexibility and versatility. Thanks to the free combination of accessories and integration of AI technologies, the devices offer high performance and advanced capabilities.
- The V3, V3H, L3, T3, and P3 AIR terminals combine compactness and high power.
- SUNMI SUPER Solution is a universal digital solution with support for two operating systems: Android and Windows. It allows seamless transition between platforms, which opens up new opportunities in the field of POS devices.
Last year, the management of BS/2 visited the central office of SUNMI Corporation in Shanghai. As a result of the visit, the parties signed a memorandum on strategic cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of Penki Kontinentai Group, and Sam Su, Chief Marketing Officer, SUNMI.
At NRF 2025, Datalogic presented retail solutions for safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Magellan 9600i/9900i scanners with AI for loss prevention and product recognition, PowerScan 9600 RFID tag reader, Shopevolution 8 software for “Scan and Go” with intelligent auditing, and the new Memor 12/17 line of mobile devices for commerce and logistics were shown. Datalogic’s IoT Platform for device management and Mobility Suite tools, including Snap OCR for text recognition, were also demonstrated.
Bizerba showcased innovative AI-based solutions, software, and modular retail hardware:
- SuperSmart Scan & Go – an AI-based system for loss prevention.
- Edgify – an on-site processing solution to improve the payment process and customer experience.

Emil Musayev, Head of Retail Equipment Sales:
At the past NRF 2025 event, it became obvious that the future of retail is connected with the active implementation of technologies. First of all, it is artificial intelligence. AI is becoming a powerful tool for personalizing offers, optimizing marketing and pricing, as well as for deep analysis of customer data and behavior. With these capabilities, retailers will be able to offer more accurate and relevant products and services, significantly improving customer experience and loyalty. Equally important will be the introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT). This technology will significantly improve logistics management, controlling real-time stock balances and adjusting prices based on the situation.
In addition, autonomous systems and robots will play an increasing role in retail. While the use of robotics for technical tasks such as cleaning and delivery is not new, in the future we will see its widespread use in more complex and precise processes such as inventory. All of these technologies will drive automation and agility in the business and allow retailers to respond faster to changes and customer needs.
NRF 2025 Retail’s Big Show allowed participants to see the latest technologies in action, share experiences, gain new ideas for business development, and establish valuable connections with leading players in the retail market. In collaboration with partners, BS/2 reaffirmed its commitment to implementing innovative solutions. The company is expected to begin a gradual rollout of the developments presented at NRF 2025 to the retail sector to make them available in the countries where it operates.
