EuroShop 2026: BS/2 Visited the Stands of Key Partners and Received the Prestigious Modern Expo Award

BS/2, together with ASHBURN International, participated in EuroShop 2026, one of the world’s largest international trade fairs for retail technology, held on February 22 to 26 in Düsseldorf. The anniversary edition once again confirmed its global scale, bringing together around 1,900 exhibitors from more than 60 countries across over 100,000 square meters of exhibition space. For five days, Messe Düsseldorf became a hub for thousands of industry professionals. Artificial intelligence, digitalization, smart store concepts, and sustainable retail infrastructure were at the forefront of the business agenda.

The BS/2 delegation, which included colleagues from Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan and was led by Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Penki Kontinentai Group, held a series of strategic meetings with global partners, including Diebold Nixdorf, SUNMI, Modern Expo, Bizerba, Datalogic, Zebra, SOLUM, Magner, and SOTI. The focus was on practical solutions for modernizing retail infrastructure, increasing operational efficiency, and building flexible, scalable ecosystems for retail chains. Participation in EuroShop provided an opportunity not only to explore new products and technology trends, but also to discuss specific projects and outline next steps for expanding cooperation.

The largest retail forum in Europe was also attended together with the BS/2 team by the company’s local partners: representatives of Bazarstore and Rahat from Azerbaijan, Toimart and Helios from Kazakhstan, Nikora Supermarket and Ori Nabiji from Georgia, and Korzinka from Uzbekistan.

One of the key highlights for BS/2 was receiving the Modern Expo New Business Horizons award for launching a new business direction and achieving measurable results. The award was accepted on behalf of BS/2 by Head of Sales Emil Musayev and presented by Modern Expo CEO Petro Pylypyuk, who emphasized the dynamic growth of the partnership and BS/2’s contribution to expanding joint projects.

«“For us, this recognition confirms that the strategic direction we chose was the right one. Our partnership with Modern Expo has consistently expanded, we have strengthened our presence in new segments, and we have delivered comprehensive solutions for retail chains. This award reflects our joint efforts and a shared trajectory of growth,” said Emil Musayev.

Modern Expo’s booth was one of the largest at the exhibition and the biggest in the company’s history at EuroShop. The scale of the stand made it possible to showcase a wide range of retail infrastructure solutions, from store equipment systems and refrigeration units to integrated space organization formats. This scale reinforced Modern Expo’s international status and its role as one of the leading players in the retail infrastructure segment.

As part of the exhibition’s business program, Diebold Nixdorf presented a case study on implementing AI technologies in checkout areas using the EDEKA retail chain as an example. The showcased solutions demonstrated how intelligent systems optimize payment processes, reduce losses, and enhance the customer experience, clearly proving the practical value of AI in modern retail.

At the SUNMI booth, the BS/2 team together with ASHBURN International demonstrated the capabilities of the TransLink.iQ solution powered by SUNMI hardware. The presentation was delivered by ASHBURN International CEO Žoržas Sarafanovičius, who shared hands on experience of implementing TransLink.iQ across multiple markets. The configuration, already successfully deployed in several countries, illustrated an approach to unifying payment infrastructure and POS ecosystems into a single managed environment. A Tap to Pay scenario in a SoftPOS format was also demonstrated, highlighting strong and growing demand for flexible payment technologies that enable NFC based transactions directly on the device without additional hardware.

The booth also hosted a meeting with the SUNMI delegation, including Sam Su, CMO of SUNMI; Alexander Bespaly, SUNMI Regional Director for CIS countries and Mongolia; Piotr Waś, Managing Director of SUNMI Technology Europe; and Sylvain ZOU, Group Product Marketing Director and EU Marketing Director at SUNMI.

The BS/2 delegation also held a dedicated meeting with Magner, a manufacturer of currency counting and sorting equipment. During negotiations with Grant Nielsen, President of Magner International Corporation, Vice President Wade Brunner, and Manager Qian Ping, the parties discussed expanding joint projects, including further promotion of the Cash Processing.iQ solution integrated with Magner equipment. This direction continues to strengthen BS/2’s position in cash automation and comprehensive cash flow management.

The scale of the exhibition and the innovations presented once again confirmed that modern retail is evolving at the intersection of intelligent technologies, integrated infrastructure, and flexible digital solutions, with BS/2 actively contributing to shaping these processes across regional markets.
