BS/2 Azerbaijan Strengthens Its Market Position as an Authorized SUNMI Partner

BS/2 Azerbaijan has become an authorized service partner for SUNMI. This recognition underscores the high level of trust and strong partnership between BS/2 Azerbaijan and Shanghai SUNMI Technology Co., Ltd.

As a result, the BS/2 subsidiary gains exclusive rights to represent and maintain SUNMI devices in Azerbaijan. This status brings opportunities to expand its services range and strengthen its market position.

The Penki Kontinentai Group, which includes BS/2 and ASHBURN International, met with SUNMI’s management in Shanghai in May 2024. Members of the delegation included key employees from BS/2’s subsidiaries. Ilgar Hasanov, director of BS/2 Azerbaijan, has also attended the business trip. The parties developed joint plans and reached significant agreements during the discussions, further strengthening their partnership.

The meeting with SUNMI in China proved pivotal in advancing business relations. Communication and strategic discussions enhanced mutual awareness and laid the groundwork for productive cooperation.

Ilgar Hasanov, Director of BS/2 Azerbaijan:

As an official service partner of SUNMI, our company receives a wide range of benefits. BS/2 Azerbaijan plans to keep promoting Android-based EFTPOS terminals in the local market. The new status also grants us exclusive rights to service and support SUNMI payment devices. Thus, our specialists get priority access to partner products and technologies.

BS/2 Azerbaijan experts completed specialized training on servicing SUNMI devices. The technical team members have earned SUNMI Care Service Qualification certificates as a sign of their professional expertise.

BS/2 Azerbaijan has successfully implemented several major projects in partnership with SUNMI. Seven leading banks in the country already use SUNMI P2 devices. Presently, the BS/2 subsidiary in Azerbaijan maintains about 7,500 acquisition units. The devices are integrated with the TransLink.iQ platform for EFTPOS terminal management and routing transactions. Payment acceptance and transaction handling are conducted by two acquiring banks, Azericard processing center, and the BS/2 office in Baku.

OneClick, a fiscal operator in Azerbaijan, has become a new partner of BS/2 Azerbaijan. In a joint project, BS/2 and ASHBURN International specialists installed the ‘3 in 1’ functionality on SUNMI P2 SE terminals for the customer.

Modern SUNMI payment terminals have caused significant interest in the banking and retail sectors of the local market. Previously, merchants had to use two or even three devices for payment transactions, but now they can streamline their operations with the ‘3 in 1’ solution. The software combines the functions of a payment device, cash register, and fiscal system into one device.

BS/2 Azerbaijan is actively searching for suppliers who can provide comprehensive cash solutions incorporating cash software, payment applications, and fiscalization.

Javid Rahimov, Head of POS Terminals Service Department at BS/2 Azerbaijan:

Tax authorities often require complicated and time-consuming equipment certifications. As a result, ready-made ‘3 in 1’ solutions, which combine the functions of a cash register, a payment terminal, and a fiscal device, are becoming increasingly popular.
As we can see, the SUNMI P3 Mix model has huge potential in Azerbaijan. Mounted on a rotating stand, this multifunction tablet terminal can take orders, scan goods, process card payments, and print receipts.
With its ergonomic design and modern software, the SUNMI P3 Mix is particularly convenient for small and medium-sized businesses.

SUNMI’s product line extends beyond payment terminals, offering a variety of equipment to automate business processes. Bravo hypermarket chain, another BS/2 partner in Azerbaijan, recently purchased 600 SUNMI L2H terminals to automate inventory management. These devices enable precise stock control, optimize inventory processes, and minimize product accounting errors.

Looking ahead, BS/2 Azerbaijan intends to expand its product and service lineup by integrating SUNMI solutions into the retail, catering, and transportation sectors.
