Penki Kontinentai Is the Most Numerous Team of Walmark Competition
For the second year in a row, the Penki Kontinentai Group team has been recognized as the most massive company in the Walmark walking competition. On Saturday, April 27, employees with their families, children, and friends, walked 15,000 steps: from the White Bridge to Vingis Park and back. They were awarded an honorary diploma at the finish. According to mobile application #walk 15, the Penki kontinentai team overcame more than 1 million steps.
The Group of companies stands for an active lifestyle. Its team annually participates in various competitions and cycling marathons. The upcoming event is a race to a European skyscraper. The Penki kontinentai office has a gym, where employees can work out at the gym or play table tennis, air hockey, or darts.
“Any physical activity improves mood and health. New meetings, tournaments, and competitions give a great opportunity for colleagues to communicate in an informal atmosphere,” says Germanas Kavalskis, Head of Corporate Communications at the Penki Kontinentai Group.
The main goal of the Walmark competition is to encourage society to physical activity and health. Walking is one of the most useful physical activities, so the organizers tried to attract older people and families with children. A distance was 15,000 steps (10.5 kilometers), not for victory or first place, but the walk, joint pastime, and communication. The entertainment for children was organized on the track: trampolines, huge soap bubbles, and chocolate! At the finish, every participant was awarded a handmade medal.
