Sberbank Kazakhstan Introduces Innovative Customer Service
Sberbank Kazakhstan (a subsidiary of Russia’s Sberbank) and BS/2 Kazakhstan (a subsidiary of Lithuanian Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos; BS/2) introduces an innovative VTM.iQ hardware and software system, consisting of a Diebold Nixdorf CS 6060 ATS, a multifunctional terminal and specialized software solution from BS/2.
According to Ivan Yemelyanov, Head of Sberbank Kazakhstan’s XXI Department, this system offers an additional customer service channel and a completely new technological approach to financial and banking services. “With VTM.iQ we plan to reduce the number of bank branches, thereby reducing customer service costs and optimize cash processes. Such a device is more beneficial than a manned bank branch, so we plan to expand its functionality in the future”, Mr. Yemelyanov says.
VTM.iQ solution allows customers to communicate and consult with the bank staff via videoconference remotely. Within a few minutes, the client can open an account, pay utility bills, make an urgent transfer, take a loan, or instantly receive a payment card. To date, card printing and instant issuance function in a self-service device have no analogs in Kazakhstan. In addition, the device has cash receipt and withdrawal – as well as currency exchange – functions.
VTM.iQ is currently functioning in the pilot mode at Sberbank, Kazakhstan. Since last December, when the device started to operate, the bank customers have already appreciated its convenience and ease of handling.
