BS/2 Trains Xalq bank Specialists in Uzbekistan on Latest Cybersecurity Challenges
BS/2, a member of Penki Kontinentai Group, organized a training seminar for representatives of JSC “Xalq bank”. The event was held at the company’s head office in Vilnius. The main topic of the meeting was the security of banking equipment, card transactions and modern challenges in the field of cyber security.
With the rapid development of technology and a sharp increase in the number of cyberattacks, data security, and financial transactions have become especially relevant. The seminar covered key aspects related to the protection of banking equipment and card transactions.
Addressing Current Threats in the Financial Sector
The event was attended by representatives of Halyk Bank of Uzbekistan: Mr. Sardor Abdullaev, Head of the Transaction Operations Complex, Mr. Umidjon Kamolov, Director of the Security Department, and Mr. Diyorbek Nurmuradov, Deputy Director of the Security Department.
The participants discussed in detail the types of threats faced by financial organizations in today’s cyberspace. The focus was on new and more sophisticated attack schemes aimed at gaining unauthorized access to systems. The importance of regular software updates and monitoring systems to minimize risks was also noted.
Demonstrating Solutions for Self-Service Device Protection
ATMeye.iQᴺᴳ solutions from BS/2 and Vynamic™ Security from Diebold Nixdorf were demonstrated during the meeting. S&G’s innovative products were also presented to the guests. The participants discussed how the integration of new technologies can help automate the process of threat detection and response.
ATMeye.iQᴺᴳ provides 24/7 ATM monitoring capabilities utilizing various systems and sensors. The solution allows you to promptly respond to suspicious activity and prevent fraud and vandalism.
Vynamic™ Security is a software solution that provides comprehensive protection for self-service devices against all types of hacker attacks, and other threats. Vynamic™ Security reduces the potential attack surface of the self-service infrastructure through the simultaneous operation of several security modules. If one of them is compromised, the remaining modules continue to operate, providing the necessary protection for the entire fleet of devices.
In addition, BS/2 is actively working to incorporate S&G’s innovative products into its solutions. Since 2020, the A-Series line of electronic locks with one-time code has been integrated with Cash Management.iQ. This made it possible to automate the processes of setting tasks for collection services and optimize the planning of providing self-service devices with cash.
Kirill Ovsiannikov, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development:
The seminar organized by BS/2 is introductory and is aimed at demonstrating innovative security solutions such as ATMeye.iQNG, Vynamic™ Security, as well as physical access control systems. We tried to show our guests not only the technical aspects of these products but also their practical importance for improving the security of transactions and the protection of banking equipment. In addition, we presented a modern line of ATMs with extended functionality. The devices allow to significantly improve the customer experience by offering additional payment and service capabilities.
Our goal is to support banks in improving the security and reliability of their infrastructure while helping them adapt to changing market requirements and customer expectations.
The seminar became a platform for sharing experiences and discussing topical issues related to the banking sector. The participants were able not only to deepen their knowledge of cybersecurity but also to develop practical recommendations to improve the level of protection in their organizations.
