BS/2 Unites Banking Industry Leaders at Banking Fusion 2024 in Kazakhstan

Banking Fusion 2024 was held on December 12, 2024, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The forum was organized by BS/2, a member of Penki Kontinentai Group. More than 170 participants from 13 countries attended Banking Fusion 2024: Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, India, Georgia, and China. 

The forum brought together representatives of about 30 leading banks from Central Asia, the Caucasus region, and Eastern Europe. The event’s partners were world suppliers of banking equipment and software solutions – Diebold Nixdorf, Sargent & Greenleaf, SUNMI, Magner, Teltonika, and Learn to Earn Global. Within the framework of Banking Fusion 2024, a memorandum of strategic cooperation was signed between JSCB “Universal bank” and JSC “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2). 

The event program included presentations and speeches by recognized experts from various countries, rich sessions, and panel discussions. The main objective of Banking Fusion 2024 was to create a platform for knowledge exchange, and discussion of trends and technologies that affect the transformation of banking organizations. Participants were able to establish new business relationships, discuss industry challenges, and find solutions to optimize banking processes. 

New Modules and Features: BS/2 and ASHBURN International Unveil Updated Software Solutions at Banking Fusion 2024 

BS/2 and ASHBURN International demonstrated the capabilities of their updated software solutions. Within the framework of the event were presented: 

ATMeye.iQᴺᴳ is a system for monitoring and securing self-service devices. The new Dispute Manager module offers financial institutions a convenient and efficient tool for promptly resolving disputes related to the use of ATMs. 

Cash Management.iQ is a solution designed to optimize cash management and logistics. Introduced this year, the Cash Processing.iQ module significantly increases the efficiency of cash processing by automating key work stages and minimizing the risk of errors. 

Payments.iQᴺᴳ is an innovative platform designed to enhance the functionality of self-service devices. The new Customer Journey Map & Analytics module helps banks collect and analyze data on user interactions with ATMs. It enables a better understanding of the customer’s journey and improves service quality. 

DS Center.iQ is a modern decision support system that provides banks with the ability to integrate data from various sources. Thanks to its flexibility and scalability, it enables the rapid integration of disparate streams of information, which improves the accuracy of analysis and speeds up decision-making. 

TransLink.iQ is a transaction management tool that guarantees the stability and security of payments on EFTPOS terminals from different manufacturers. Integration of different technologies within one solution allows to significantly reduce equipment costs. 

In addition, the event included an exhibition of banking equipment and modern solutions for banks and retail. BS/2 global partners demonstrated at their stands:   

  • new generation of DN Series recycler ATMs from Diebold Nixdorf with Payments.iQᴺᴳ system installed;
  • electronic locks from Sargent and Greenleaf;
  • a new generation of SUNMI devices;
  • cash counting and processing devices. 

The Banking Fusion 2024 format allowed participants not only to get a full understanding of the capabilities of BS/2 solutions and the company’s global partners but also to evaluate their practical usefulness in optimizing banking processes. 

Key Trends and Solutions for the Banking Industry Highlighted by Forum Speakers 

The forum program included 15 speakers  experts from different countries, who shared their vision of key technologies changing the banking industry. Kirill Ovsiannikov, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development of BS/2, made a presentation on “Banking self-service and the unique experience of BS/2”. Siarhei Kraiko, Head of Product Development Division, made a presentation on “Data, Data and Data Again”, where he demonstrated the company’s new solutions  DS Center.iQ and the Customer Journey Map & Analytics module of Payments.iQᴺᴳ system. Žoržas Šarafanovičius, CEO of ASHBURN International, made a presentation on “Merchant acquiring and integrated services”. 

 

In addition, Banking Fusion 2024 featured presentations by representatives of leading banks and companies, including Kapitalbank (Uzbekistan), Azer Turk Bank (Azerbaijan), Central Asian Fintech Association, as well as major technology partners such as Diebold Nixdorf, Sargent & Greenleaf, Teltonika, AISync Global and others. They shared their experience in applying the latest software and technology solutions in the banking sector. 

BS/2 and JSCB “Universal Bank” Formalize Strategic Cooperation with Memorandum Signing 

Within the framework of the forum between JSCB “Universal bank” (Uzbekistan) and JSC “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2) a memorandum on strategic cooperation was signed. Aziz MirzaevFirst Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “Universal bank”, and Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of Penki Kontinentai Group, took part in the ceremony.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the expansion of the fleet of automated banking devices of JSCB “Universal bank”. It is planned to increase the number of modern ATMs equipped with BS/2 software solutions. This will ensure the expansion of the functional capabilities of the devices, including cash withdrawal services, checking account status, and other operations. 

 

In addition, BS/2 will implement systems for comprehensive monitoring of ATMs, as well as perform work to ensure the operability of self-service devices by the requirements of service agreements. 

Banking Fusion 2024 Forum provided a platform for professional dialog and exchange of experience between representatives of the banking industry, technology developers, and international experts.
