Position Mission

As a TEAM LEAD of Quality Assurance at BS/2, you will play a critical role in supervising team of QA Enginneers ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services throughout the development life cycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Product Management, and Customer Support to identify quality issues, develop test plans, and execute test cases to ensure the highest level of product/service quality.

Main responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and mentor QA team members (manual and/or automation testers)
    • Assign tasks and manage workloads
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback
    • Promote continuous learning and skill development
  • Planning & Strategy
    • Define QA strategies, test plans, and testing processes
  • Quality Oversight
    • Ensure that products meet the defined quality standards before release
    • Review test cases, test scripts, and test results
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with QA processes and standards
    • Coordinate testing activities (e.g., system, integration, regression, UAT)
  • Identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle
  • Participate in the whole quality assurance process (requirement refinement, test case preparation, manual testing, release monitoring)
  • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes
  • Help troubleshoot issues reported by the support team
  • Report and analyze defects and suggest recommendations on how to improve product quality to avoid similar cases
  • Track and report QA metrics (e.g., defect rates, test coverage, test execution status)
  • Work closely with developers, QAs, and POs within the team

Requirements and skills

  • A technical background or education in a related subject.
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership role.
  • Experience managing QA in a multi-product or SaaS environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance tools (ie Zephir, Jira, Selenium, etc).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Good Russian and English language is a must

Desired:

  • Experience in embedded testing
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
  • Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Salary

Specific salary will be discussed individually, depending on work location, experience, competence, and compliance with other requirements of the position.
